Climbing Escalade Canada is excited to announce a new partnership with RockBase Inc. for the 2021-2022 Competition Season. RockBase is an easy to use mobile app that solves the issue of finding local climbing partners.
As the sport of climbing grows globally, RockBase aims to develop as a tool to connect climbers which focuses on fostering a sense of community which can grow and evolve alongside those who climb. While the company values of grit, compassion, and accountability speak to the individual, they are by extension a reflection of the community values they aim to foster.
“Stepping in a climbing gym for the first time can be intimidating. Seeing your favorite climbing partner retire from the sport can be frustrating. RockBase offers a unique solution to support the community in pursuing the activity they love. CEC is thrilled to support a Canadian startup offering a one-of-a-kind product to our community.” comments Christiane Marceau, Executive Director of CEC.
“RockBase is built on the belief that as climbing goes mainstream, climbers will continue to face many local and global obstacles. As climbers, we are great at solving problems, but some issues are better addressed as a community. RockBase aims to help climbers connect locally on a global scale. This applies not only for weekly gym sessions and once-in-a-lifetime adventures, but also to impress the fact that issues impacting climbers anywhere are issues for climbers everywhere.” comments Kelsen Chau, CEO of RockBase Inc.
The purpose of Climbing Escalade Canada is to be a leader in the promotion and development of competition climbing in Canada for athletes and the extended climbing community. We strive to enable athletes to achieve their high performance potential in an ethical, equitable and equal competition environment.
